My friend and I hand the chance to stop by at The Ivy Soho Brasserie,and I must say we were not disappointed!
After hearing the restaurant was designed by one of my favorite interior designers Martin Brudnizki, we had no choice but to book dinner table for two. The restaurant is apparently set to be one of the new hot spots in Central London, the location at Broadwick Street, Soho cannot be any perfect for Central London busy bees such as myself.
The beautiful interior space pays attention to detail throughout, not one corner has been left out! The restaurant, bar, private dining room are all decorated throughout with colorful framed art prints inspired by Soho’s music scene and the famous poet, William Blake.
I was blown away with the number of egg dishes that were on the menu, I guess since the restaurant specializes in contemporary British cuisine it should not come as a surprise! Also as an egg lover, I was definitively not complaining. I stared off my meal with salt crusted sourdough bread for my appetizer, wild mushrooms on toasted brioche for my starter and steak, egg & chips for my main.
I was stuffed by the time dessert came calling but my friend on the other hand was not leaving until she had tried the chocolate bombe. The presentation for the dessert was stunning, we both had our phones ready to witness the hot salted caramel sauce fall on the melting chocolate bombe! The chocolate bombe slowly opened up exposing the milk foam, vanilla ice cream and honeycomb that was hiding inside. I took a really crappy video but click on here to watch a similar video.
